How to Size a Roller Hockey Pant

Measure the circumference of your waist just above the hips. Correspond this measurement to the sizing chart and cross-reference your height. You may overlap between pant sizes, which in this case comes down to personal preference. Roller Hockey Pants are sized to fit over the top of a protective girdle which we highly recommend wearing for protection.

How to Check if Your Pant Fits Correctly

It is always best to wear your roller hockey girdle, shin guards, and skates while trying on the fit of your new roller hockey pants.

Proper Roller Hockey Pant Fit

The waistband should be able to securely fasten without being too tight or too loose and comfortably fit overtop of your roller hockey girdle. When standing, the roller hockey pants should reach the top of the skates without interfering with the roller hockey wheels and the knee panels should be resting in the proper position overtop of your shin guards. If there is slightly extra hem length, hockey sock tape can secure the pants against the shin guards and keep them from getting caught in the wheels.

Improper Roller Hockey Pant Fit

If the pants fully fasten around the waist but are still loose and the hem is too long, the pants are too big. If they are too restrictive and don't allow a protective girdle or shin guards to fit underneath, then they are too small. Another good indication is if the knee panels are sitting too high or too low against your shin guards.
