Overview
The Warrior Ritual Pro Goalie Leg Pad offers pro level protection, sizing and extremely lightweight construction. Pete Smith, a well known name in the Goalie equipment industry has now joined Warrior and will be overseeing all of the goalie gear.
Warrior's Ritual Pro features additional knee support with their Knee Leveler technology, helping to stabilize the knee area providing a continuous landing surface. Warrior new hinged knee design allows the outer portion of the knee cradle to twist when transitioning into the butterfly position. This helps with pad rotation while keeping minimal stress on your straps. Exclusive Post Wedge Panel provides protection to the outer calf while filling the gap between the post and the goalies knee when crouching. Warriors own Tabletop boot construction allows the boot to sit and move on top of your skates giving the goalie better mobility. Exclusive binding less construction keeps the leg pads lightweight while increasing durability by not having typical wear points.
High quality materials are used throughout the Ritual Pro, keeping the pad as light as possible while maintaining good durability. The face of the pad is lined with a nylon weave material, lighter then the leather material used on similar pads. Medium and high density foams are used throughout the face of the pad providing a large firm blocking surface. The back of the pad is lined with a breathable nylon material with a By SMITH patch in the upper left hand corner signifying that the pad is being overseen Pete Smith. The thigh guard is lined with a nylon and breathable inner layer able to wick away moisture. Knee Cradle, knee leveler, and calf wraps are lined with the same nylon and nylon weave materials similar to the rest of the pad. These pads are using a combination of elastic, nylon, and leather straps to help secure the pad.
The squared-up design of these pads ensures a complete seal across the playing surface when in the butterfly position. Thin thigh profile allows the tops of the pads to overlap each other when in your stance as well as while moving on your feet giving the goalie better mobility. Protecting the upper portion of the leg is the thigh guard. The thigh guard is divided into three compartments with wide elastic band insuring a comfortable fit around the thigh. The inner boot has been rounded, reducing friction when going into the butterfly creating a smooth transition.
