The flex of a hockey stick is how stiff the shaft is. Youth sticks are 30-40 flex, Junior sticks are 45-55 flex, Intermediate sticks are 55-75 flex and Senior sticks are 75 - 110 flex.

The mid-kick flex profile is for the player who puts a lot of lean into their wrist/slap shots and are looking for a powerful release on their shots. IW hockey offers composite hockey sticks and wood hockey sticks for every level of play. Generally, composite hockey sticks will offer a lighter, snappier feel, while traditional wood hockey sticks will deliver that solid, consistent puck feel. To determine which size hockey stick is right for you, generally, ages 14 & up use senior hockey sticks, 11-16 year olds use intermediate, 6-12 year olds use junior and 7 and under use the youth sized hockey sticks.
