Green Biscuit Snipe Training Hockey Puck

Special Bulk Price: Buy 3 or more pucks and the price drops to $12.75 each!

The Green Biscuit Snipe Training Hockey Puck is an off-ice training hockey puck that helps develop exceptional shooting skills. The Green Biscuit Snipe Puck weighs 5.2 oz in comparison to the original green biscuit weighing in at 4.6 oz. Therefore, the added weight provides a more realistic shot feel.

The Green Biscuit Snipe Puck is able to endure high amounts of impact compared to the original plastic material, which means less chipping against posts and sides boards. The material is comprised of a rubber component making it more reliable when performing an array of shot types.

The Green Biscuit Snipe Training Hockey Puck is primarily a shooting puck and not meant for passing and stick handling.  Due to the rubber component of the puck the puck doesn't slide as effortlessly as the original Green Biscuit Training puck on the super rough surfaces like asphalt streets.  The Snipe performs just fine on the smoother concrete surfaces like driveways, tennis courts, basements, etc.

  • Model Number: SNIPE BISCUIT

  • 2-piece design helps absorb vibrations to keep the puck flat and gliding on rough surfaces
  • Applicable on any hard surface
  • Increased weight makes it feel and act like a real ice puck
  • Allows for convenient and fun off ice training
  • Designed for shooting
    • (Passing or stick handling may be difficult on rough asphalt surfaces)

Comments: Well, it is definitely for shooting from stationary position only. If you want to do some puck handling while skating before you shoot, it is no good as it doesn't slide as well as the original GB and keeps turning over. The other thing, being dark green it is easy to loose in grass if you play outside. I prefer the original GB - it slides almost like on ice and in fact is holding well if you shoot it against e.g. chainlink fence, not the concrete wall.

Comments: I'm a real believer in the original green biscuit -- but not in the snipe. The beauty of the orig green b is it's fantastic slide and the way it resists rolling on rough surfaces -- a street hockey puck you can make reliable saucer passes with! But the snipes slide isn't merely worse than the Green B's slide, it's unacceptable. I can't comment on whether the snipe rolls or not because stick handling with it was so unpleasant I didn't use it long enough to judge the roll. I was working with it on a medium warm (70s) day on coated asphalt. Maybe it performs better in colder weather or other surfaces. But for me at the moment it's a paperweight. A disappointment.

Comments: I have this Sniper Biscuit for few months and used it several times. I like it durability, and the weight which enhance my wrist power when training.

However, this one is NOT UNBEATABLE. I know overly abuse can still damage this Sniper Biscuit, so I never shoot it against any hard material other than the boards in the hockey rink and the metal frame of the goal.

Yesterday, 11/9/2013, I was practicing passing and some shooting with a friend in the roller hockey rink. Again, we did not shoot this puck to any very hard surfaces, but both of his Sniper Biscuits were completely broken. And this morning, 11/10/2013, one of my Sniper Biscuits got a long crack from the edge toward the center.

Overall, other than the decreased gliding ability, I like this puck; however, I will rather spend money on other cheaper roller hockey pucks which can actually hold up even longer than the Sniper Biscuit.

Comments: This thing is awesome! The slide with the Snipe is a little more rough compared to the first Green Biscuit puck, but the durability is awesome with this thing and definitely makes up for the added friction. The weight is more accurate than the first one as well and I think that is huge when you are doing off ice training. My 3 year old son, who is a big boy, whacks the heck out this puck trying to learn how to shoot and pass and the snipe GB has managed to survive his abuse and stay in great shape.

I am constantly shooting with it as well (6'2"/225) and it has not cracked or fractured in the 3 months that I have used it.

If you are like me and love to try and hone your stick handling skills or just mess around on the back patio from time to time but can't get over that urge to shoot, this puck is a must. Shoot away and feel confident that you have a quality durable off ice training aide to help you build your skills.

Comments:  Expensive disappointment.  When I found out Green Biscuit made a puck for shooting, I was excited because the original GB I had moved so well on the smooth concrete outdoor rink where I play.  So I bought four of the Snipe, expecting the same great performance.  I was bummed from first use.  While the weight and feel of the Snipe are good, the thing just doesn't slide very well; it doesn't come close to moving like an ice hockey puck, an IDS or even the original GB.  In fact, I get better glide from an ice hockey puck into which I screwed round-headed sheet metal screws.  To make things worse, I shot one over the fence and lost it in the bushes, which are the same color as the snipe, making them really hard to find.  I can't recommend the Snipe.  Instead, I'd stick with the original Green Biscuit.  If the Snipe is intended just for shooting, you're better off with a regular ice hockey puck costing just a tenth of the Snipe.

Comments: If you are a fan of the Original Green Biscuit this is the last puck you will ever need. Same smooth gliding with minimal amount of pucks ending up on their side, plus the added bonus of being able to shoot this puck. Great for use in games!
