Bones
Bones began with George Powell in the early 1980s, when skateboarding had fallen in popularity due to the lack of quality product available on the market. This lead to manufacturers overseas being able to produce better bearings then American bearing companies, at a fraction of the cost, so Powell set out to find the best bearing in the world that would be affordable to skaters. His mission took him to Switzerland and the bearings produced there were faster and better then any others he tested. Working closely with the Swiss manufacturer, Powell developed multiple improvements on bearings for skating applications, eventually leading to the best bearings available on the market today.
