RIPTIDE HARDNESSES EXPLAINED | |
---|---|
APS The "APS" formula is a very bouncy and popular formula among a wide range of skaters from any outdoor beginner to derby jammers or switches and street skaters that need high-rebound. APS ranges from 65A-8A but 75A-80A is a more ideal medium for most riders. | |
KRANK The "Krank" formula is tougher, harder and faster ranging from 84A-90A. 84A would be great for a skater that wants to dip their toes into a harder cushion without losing too much fluidity. As a rule of thumb: harder cushions are great for stability and feel softer for heavier skates, while softer cushions are more ideal for agility and skaters that are lighter in weight as they allow more free movement. |
