Customer Reviews
The sweetspot AvantiThe Avanti hits a sweetspot for all stops when buying a skate plate.
Whether you get this model Avanti plate, or the Magnesium lighter model Avanti,I have to say... it is in my opinion as a skate maker who has been rollerskating since 1989 that the Avanti is the best overall choice as the best bang for your buck skate plate available in today's market. The Avanti skates similar in performance to much more expensive plates. They are quite durable and reactive . The fastest and strongest plates you'll find for under $200. I have always been able to buy both models even nowadays for under $200. Suregrip...please note this goes to speaking to SureGrip RollerSkate co directly ,please slow down & don't keep upping the price.
If the price contunues to go up no one will be able to stand behind the Avanti as an affordable performance plate that is great for the pricepoint ...because on the same hand it is not as light or reactive or as fast as higher end plates like
RollLine Plates and also ProLines by Labeda(rumored that SureGrip is buying Labeda soon and ProLines will now be SureGrip ProLines similar to the PowerTrac plate acquired by SureGrip) so please SureGrip keep the price under $200 for both the Magnesium and the regular Avanti...not sure why most skate dealers are forced by SureGrip to sell both plates about $21 more than they were just 9 or 10 months ago. Respect your buyers that support you. I believe it's important for SureGrip to make ProLines affordable like PowerTrac plates, if in fact if it is true that SureGrip acquires the plate/design and the Labeda name brand overall. Much love and respect to SureGrip,I LOVE SureGrip as I am a longtime SureGrip customer in Miami from back in the Legendary Miami HotWheels Skating Center days...back when Sonny & Crocket had game lol been loving suregrip skate co since I had a babyface and got my white floorgaurd jeans pinched by cute girls every session. Nowadays not too many more pinches in public. Leave that up to my wife who holds me just like when we were younger. To all you skaters out there KEEP ROLLING AND NEVER STOP. Skating keeps you younger. So if you wanna stay young and buy an awesome skate plate that is super durable, then make sure you get the SureGrip Avanti. It is the sweetspot for your performance needs and is a sweet economic choice as it is a true performance plate akin to a Ford Mustang RaceCar. It's not a Porsche or Ferrari. Porsche and Ferrari are more like high end RollLines or ProLine plates. If you need ultra light plates go PowerTrac or a Bont Athena,ProLines. Also RollLine plates above $380 are light and high end plates. I will say the Magnesium Avanti is very light and is absolutely the best/most lightweight plate at about $200. Just wish it was still sold at $180 and $189.99. It would allow more bragging because truly it is the best bang for your buck plate. Fast and durable. Get yours today, don't hesitate procrastinating, it is a great plate and life is short. Go skate!
