By offering the 301 as a boot-only platform, Daoust gives players the freedom to build the exact wheel and bearing setup that fits their game, or reuse the setup from the skates they're replacing, while putting more value into the boot itself.

The stiffer 40/60 composite boot delivers excellent support and power transfer for explosive starts and confident stops, while still maintaining the iconic step-in comfort Daoust has been known for over decades. Inside, heat-moldable VE Poly foam paired with a moisture-managing checkered microfiber liner locks the foot in comfortably from first shift to last.

Up top, the 7mm pro felt tongue protects against slashes and blocked shots without restricting forward flex. Underneath, the composite blend outsole is paired with Daoust's Hi-Lo roller chassis, which comes ready with axles but allows players to choose their own spacers, wheels, and bearings for a truly custom build.

How to Build Your Skate
1. Pick Your Skate: Choose from the 501 or the 301 OG.
2: Build Your Setup: Pick your favorite set of (8) wheels (16) bearings and (8) 6mm spacers; or reuse your current setup.
3: Skate Your Way: Hit the rink with a better boot and the perfect wheel/bearing combo for your surface, style and game.

For the ultimate fitting experience that can be done without leaving the house, make sure to first Bake Your Skates at Home and then Check for Proper Skate Fit. If you are still unsatisfied with how they fit and feel, simply use the included pre-paid return label.

Great SkateI've been skating in these for about a month now. The boot feels pretty stiff for the price point, and the frame seems very stout. I usually bend frames after a while, but I think this one will last longer due to the thickness of metal. Overall weight is a bit more than I had hoped, but I think the durability will make that worth it. My only complaint so far is that the heel of the skate is very narrow. I'm still breaking these in but might have to try and get it punched out larger, so my heel stops going numb.

Great value, looks sick!I will do a couple reviews if I can, for the sake of giving out information to help anyone else make a decision. 4 stars only because I need more time and I haven't actually decided to keep them yet. For starters they look sick and feel very comfortable right out of the box. The boot stiffness is in line with the price point and they feel high quality with a lot of features for the price. The tongue has a soft fabric over the edge, and a really firm lacebite guard. There are scuff guards on both sides of the forefoot that seem kind of thin compared to other skates. The padding inside is thick, comfy and really locks the heel in place. I have been in Bauer Vapors fit 2 (or Rs) for a long time and these fit perfectly. So I would say dead on for a medium volume fit. No hot spots or ankle pain, and this is pre-bake. ***My main issue: The chassis on this boot is about 3/4 of an inch longer than a Bauer Hi-Lo chassis. The axle placement is different because of this. The front wheel sits out in front of the toe cap, which would be beneficial if you want a more stable roll at high speed. This would be a detriment if you are looking for agility and sharp turns in tight areas.
