Summary

The most forgiving in fit and price makes the RB line suited to cruise in comfort during a recreational skate or tear it up while urban skating.

Frame lengths are on the shorter side for better agility. All models come with strong aluminum frames that are removable, replaceable and laterally adjustable.

Strategic air vents keep you cool and dry. Dual buckle closures teamed with the molded plastic shell offer good lateral support and stability.

Liners are removable and performance-oriented. They are comfortable out of the box with little to no need for break-in. A brake comes stock, either attached or in the box depending on the model.

Key Takeaways:

  • Lowest price point
  • Relaxed fit
  • Moderate venting

Summary

A hybrid design that has the versatility to skate as a cross-trainer or an urban freestyler. Additional performance features put them a a price that makes them the best value for intermediate and better skaters.

In the 2019 Edge models, you'll get added technology like the Anti-Torsion box allows for better power transfer and stiffness when compared to the RB line-up.

Aluminum frames are also removable, replaceable and/or laterally adjustable. Frame lengths are longer to better accommodate longer strides of cross-training.

Ventilation is scarce when compared to soft boots, but it is the most ventilated option in Rollerblade's hard boot line-up. These vents are strategically placed to help keep you cool and dry. The molded shell and dual buckle closures provide enhanced support and response.

Performance-fit liners are removable and mold naturally with skate time. Very little break-in is required for a comfortable, customized fit. A brake is always included, either attached or in the box.

Key Takeaways:

  • Cross-Training oriented
  • Snug fit
  • The most venting

Twister Edge Family

Maximum performance and durability

Summary

Specialized urban skates (or freeskates) to handle jumps, stairs, slides and more... Having enhanced features and a higher price, skilled urban and slalom skaters get the best value.

Short, rigid frames provide enhanced response, agility and durablity. Made from stronger extruded aluminum, you will get better performance while still benefitting from them being removable, adjustable and replaceable. Adjustability is now offered both side-to-side and front to back. Frames mount to an aluminum 'anti-torsion box' nestled in the boot for better feel and energy transfer. You'll find this same tech on the Maxxum Edge models, but not on the RBs.

No vents! Ok..there is one under the foot but it offers limited ventilation. This lack of vents adds rigidity to the shell, further increasing response and energy transfer. The molded shell is again teamed with dual buckle closures. Replaceable sliders and color kits for customization are available aftermarket.

Liners will most definitely require break-in. Expect these skates to be extremely tight and stiff out of the box. The performance fit will mold naturally with skate time to provide a snug, firm, comfortable and responsive fit. A brake is not always included in the skate box but is available the purchase aftermarket.

Key Takeaways:

  • Highest performance for urban skating
  • Really snug fit
  • Nearly no venting
