| The following instructions were provided by the manufacturer. | |
| Step 1 | Do not remove all the backing at once. The backing keeps the grip stable and it also keeps the adhesive "at bay" until it is needed. Start with one of the tapered ends at the butt end of the stick and complete one full wrap. |
| Step 2 | Do not pull the hockey grip hard when applying. It doesn't take much tension to get the grip to lay flat. When applying tension to the grip, ensure your hands are close to the stick as this will allow you to use your thumbs to manipulate the grip. |
| Step 3 | Continue to work your way down the shaft by wrapping the VUK grip edge-to-edge for the best results. This style will protect the edges of the grip when your hands move on the stick and create the lowest profile. You can overlap the top of the grip for a bigger knob but VUK recommends doing one wrap to better protect the starting edge. |
| Step 4 | Be sure to apply electrical tape or VUK's finishing tape to both ends of the stick if possible. This will make it a smooth transition from stick to grip and will also protect the ends of the grip as those are raised. |
