Overview
Back when derby was just getting (re)started there was demand for a skate that could hold up to the rigors of the sport and so the Sure-Grip Rebel Derby Skate was born. Great individual components combine into one amazing entry-level skate package that's a step above the rest. Ditching the synthetic approach to most entry-level boots, the Rebel is actual leather and a very easy transition to skate boots for first-timers.

Comfortable and reliableI love my Rebels! Very strong boots with the strong Probe plates. I just put on some Sure-Grip PS trucks on mine and they look and feel great. Very comfy boot!
Good entry level skates! I got these skates for a 10-week "derby academy" learning the basic skills needed for my fresh meat program. They held up well to indoor and outdoor skating. However, my league skates a banked track and I found that these did not have anywhere near enough arch support for sustained bank track skating. On a flat track, they probably would have lasted me much longer.
