Overview

The Sherwood T20 ABS Hockey Blades are an ideal choice for all kinds of outdoor surfaces. Most traditional wood blades will disintegrate when used outdoors but this T20 blade has a durable ABS core that will last on asphalt and concrete. The multi-directional layering of fiberglass ensures a tough and rigid feel from heel to toe providing an accurate shot release.

Top tier ABS outdoor replacement bladeBeen playing for over 25 years so let that be the integrity behind my review because some of the reviews on this blade are absolutely DS. This blade is great. It's a workhorse. It's made for outdoor rinks aka roller hockey. Yes, you could use it indoor or on tile court - but - the boys all use high end one piece ice sticks for those kinds of surfaces. It's extremely durable and out of many different blades I've used over the years, it's really lasted as long or longer than some of my favorites that are no longer sold. For the price, this is a no brainer. PP26 curve is a standard, classic curve. Even curve through the heel and toe; not a crazy or wicked toe curve you find on a lot of sticks now. Most similar to the popular ABS Frontier Blue blade that is no longer made.

Good for beginners This blade is really nice looking, but has no durability. I play intermediate level roller hockey on that "soft concrete" type of surface, and this blade shattered the first or second time I used it. Not even on a hard shot. I was annoyed considering I had JUST bought it. I definitely do not recommend buying this blade if you play anything other that a VERY beginner league. It just won't last.

Good puck feel, poor durability at hoselI've broke 2 now within 3 days of play on each of them. The blade (bottom surface) itself holds up well, but the shaft of the replacement blade breaks where it meets the stick shaft. Puck feel is good. Blade durability seems solid. Weight is ok... you know you're sacrificing lightweight for durability when you buy these. Shaft (not sure what the actual term is) of the blade is awful (at least for the 2 I've used)

Durable for ice and roller hockeyReading other reviews about this blade makes me wonder how those skaters are shooting or installing the blade. I use ONLY this model and have a very heavy shot. I use an old school graphite Innovative (Blue) shaft with 100 flex. I play defense and blast shots all day with this blade. During warm-ups, I stand in front of the net deflecting shots and it holds up there too. I play both roller and ice and this stick holds up for MONTHS of weekly skates on both surfaces equally well. When they do break, it is at the hosel, however, that is after several months of playing. The curve is perfect for my liking. The squared toe allows for good toe drag capability while also providing some nice lift for wrist and slap shots.

Great durabilityThis is the ONLY blade I use for outdoor roller on smooth surfaces, concrete, and roller court-like surfaces. Never had an issue with durability. These things take a beating and keep going! Snappers, wristers, and clappers - this blade never fails. I have these in my True AX9 and Catalyst shafts and I put my full weight into most of shots. Will keep getting these as my go-to blades!
