Overview

Rollerblade Maxxum 125 3WD Skates are packaged for speed with large 125mm wheels. The Maxxum boots have lowers like the Twister, with cutouts for some ventilation and cuffs that allow more range in motion to be better when skating for fitness and cross-training activities.

The redesigned boot features a mold that is lighter in weight, better ventilated, and with more comfort. Footboard Sizers make sizing easy with each shell able to cover a full size (i.e. 9.0-9.5). Skate Liner Plus with Performance Skate Insoles (removable) with a padded design have an anatomical, comfortable fit. Perforated mesh in the forefoot is breathable, and lycra in the toe area ensure comfort. The Comfort Flex Tongue has wings with reinforced median bars that wrap around the shin to improve support when flexing front to back, fit and control. Micro-adjustable buckles are used both at the cuff and 45-degree powerstrap positions with extruded aluminum frames (removable - adjustable) providing strength and energy transfer. Rollerblade Hydrogen 125mm Wheels with TwinCam ILQ9 Bearings, a shock absorber under the heel, and a brake in the box.

KEY TECHNOLOGIES

Footboard Sizer

Sizing Chart

GENERAL SKATE SIZING GUIDELINES
Measure both feet with socks similar to those in which you intend to skate. Then use the measurement of the longest point and reference the model-specific size chart to determine size. How to Measure Your Feet for Skates.
Proper fit has the toes not being cramped against the front. Toes may slightly brush the front as heels will settle back when in the skating position. Try on skates indoors while in a seated position. Lace and buckle both skates, tap your heels to the floor, and then stand and bend your knees to simulate the skating position. MaxumPurchased these from Inline Warehouse, about 4 yrs ago, and about 1300 miles away from me. So far, they are just amazing, fast too. Very comfortable. Used to have 4 wheel 84 mm. My Maxxums are so much faster.

Maxxum 125s are a crosstraining workhorseI bought my first pair in 2019 and have skated on them 455 times since then. I bought a new inner boot after 5.5 years and have changed wheels and bearings a few times. I changed the upper buckles recently after ordering another pair and now I have two pairs that are like new. I skated on my new pair yesterday for the first time, and they were the same (which is great) except for being slightly lighter. My wife also trains on Maxxum 125s. We train on an asphalt trail and skate 8-12 miles 2-3 times a week. 125s are fast and help smooth out any surface. The frame length is stable for long strokes but short enough to turn easily.

A bit too recreationalSolid skate, but the plastic shell and super bright thick greem tongue and green wheels give off a less serious vibe in my view along with not feeling as connected to the foot. The 3 wheel 125mm rollerblade skates I had prior had a much better feel to me along with i believe a slightly longer wheelbase. These skates were a decent value, but I have on order a pair of REVV BOA 125 which I think will work better for me - I will report back on that!

Lost strap issueI have enjoyed these skate immensely I gave them 4 stars because the strap screws come loose and you can loose a strap. That said I have put 20 miles in on one skate session using my XC ski poles and truly enjoyed passing bikers much to thier chagrin and amusement. The big wheels allow for smooth riding on the black top river trails in Spokane! Good times!

Cheap feelingBoot design and material feels cheap. Boot ankle insert keeps getting loose. Making the boot feel loose and uneven. Over all it feels like a cheap skate for the price.

Great re-entry to rollerbladingThese skates are solid in structure and performance overall. I docked a star because the tightening system is outdated. BOA is my preferred standard. The ladders on these type of builds strip too easily. I also considered that the tongue has odd stitching that doesn’t without proper care wants to fold in and creates immense discomfort on the shin/ankle. Otherwise, these are great value. The wheels themselves would run 120-150$. These bad boys glide and fit well. I wear a street shoe 12 and got the 12s here. I would consider half sizing down, as I full size down for many other sport fits, but these are right on the line and I may have regretted it. Decide for yourself where your true shoe size leans!

Tall bladesI was able to purchase my Maxxum online thanks to the great support my customer support rep gave me. This is a big change for me as the wheel height changed my center of gravity and I’ve had to really get used to them. I was on an old pair of blades, Aeroblades, with smaller diameter wheels, and the wheel height really changed my abilities. I’ve had to relearn how to skate and strengthen my ankles.
