Wonderful SkatesI wanted to pick up inline skating as a form of exercise and these skates have been wonderful! Not only do they look awesome, but they are super comfortable and have been providing a super consistent skating experience as I learn. I would recommend these to anyone!
Great Skates, Great Nostalgia!The skates are comfy, and an upgrade to my Zetrablades. Lots of great quality of life improvements over a basic beginner pair.
To be fair, I am NOT a beginner. Like lots of people, I am a dude in my 40s who decided that he missed skating from the 90s and early 2000s, and wanted to go with some classic Lightnings because they are tried and true skates. Happened to see these nostalgia ones, and picked them up. Super 90s overload! The pink, purple and neon yellow are so gaudy, it's beautiful! Nostalgia overload!
The memory clips are a game changer! No more trying to remember how many clicks you need, each time you suit up!
You won't regret getting these, whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or expert. I'm somewhere between intermediate and expert these days, and I don't find these lacking in any way.
A practical blast from the past.I started skating about 5 months ago and bought these to replace my Advantage Pro XTs, which were becoming limiting. They are better in every way! I have wider feet, but these fit just fine. Like most brand new skates, there will be some pressure or discomfort until the inserts form to your foot. After about 4 hours of skating, they are super comfortable. I feel more balanced and secure with these compared to my other pair. The styling is absolutely on point, too! If you're looking for a decent skate, but don't want to spend 300+, look no further! I measure my foot and landed at 29.6CM, so I ordered the 12/12.5. I am able to use them comfortably without the footboard sizer.
Apparently We’re a Rollerblading HouseholdIt’s been about 15 years since I’ve been on rollerblades, and apparently adulthood is just buying back your childhood hobbies… except now you can afford the good stuff.
The Lightning TRS 80s were a total nostalgia purchase, and I’m having an absolute blast! They’re comfortable, supportive, and made getting back on wheels surprisingly easy. I’ve been enjoying them so much that my husband got jealous and asked for his own pair!
Amazing throwback colors on modern bootsModern fit and comfort with throwback color scheme. What's not to love? I get a lot of comments and compliments on it.
Lightning boots themselves are tight and fit securely. I like the quick-release straps.
I hope they come out with 90 mm version of the frames/wheels too.
GreatNow I'm aware I'm not the most qualified to review these, I have been roller blading for 2 months now.
I started with the soft boot k2 skates which were fine, but once I started progressing past beginner (able to skate trails) they were horrible. I took the risk to upgrade to these and
I DON'T REGRET IT A BIT.
The wheels and bearing are SO smooth.
The hard boot fits so snug and I went from skating a mile and in pain to doing 5 miles non stop and wanting more.
And finally, the memory buckles are a game changer. I'll always be replacing buckles with these. In my opinion these skates are amazing for the price. Still on the lower end price compared to most. Not to mention the color scheme is immaculate.
So happy I purchased these skates.
