Overview

The Powerslide Phoenix Single Density SD Inline Speed Skating Wheels in 100mm and 110mm do not utilize inserts or flex bands, but they still use the finest urethane Germany has to offer. Grippy, responsive, and the perfect race round profile for control and push with lots of urethane to wear down.

Powerslide SD (Single Density) Inline Speed Skating Wheels are available in Medium (84A) and Hard (86A) to cater to various preferences and are great for road and track racing or training for racing.

At the core, is the optimized Phoenix Race Hub, offering the perfect balance between flex and rigidity so that you get responsive energy transfer and stability when skating at high speeds. The dome shaped hub and small interlock design contribute to the roll and consistent edge-to-edge transitions that are crucial when competitive racing. A round race profile ensures smooth transitions and consistent performance.

Very fast wheels, hub debonding problemPros - Very fast wheels , feels faster than the MPC's / Red magic / RB X-Firm, but a little less grip. Even being a single-density wheel, it performs better than many more expensive dual-density wheels in a straight line. Feels effortless when riding. Good marathon-type training wheel. (not a circuit/sprinter wheel) Cons - Unlike the wheels manufactured by MPC, whose hub is made of TPU and adheres firmly to the rubber, these Phoenix wheels have a hub that seems to be made of a harder, more rigid plastic material and does not promote the adhesion of the polyurethane to the hub. All 8 wheels came with the same problem. I did not request an exchange because I live in Brazil and cannot send them for an exchange. I hope that in the next production run, Powerslide corrects this defect.
