Customer Reviews
Favorite skate fit after adjustmentsLoving this skate! At first was worried it may be too tight as many other sources online would lead you to believe, but after heat molding the liner and breaking it in its amazing. Snug, but not such that there are any pain points or numb toes, just confidence inspiring. I did swap the frames for FLT4s, but that's more personal preference, I'm sure the Fluid V work better after breaking in the groove more but out of the box it's not for me, and as an old man I'm mostly in park with steel ledges and coping that is not going to grind in a groove. They also felt a little tall and not as responsive just skating around. I tried a superfeet carbon insole, but the heel pocket was too high with the stock absorber and caused pain in the sides of my heel, ended up just throwing some Dr scholls in there for more arch support and cushion and that worked great - the stock insoles have little to no arch support, so you may need something else if you have high arches as I do. All in all loving these skates and great to support Billy and Mesmer. Had a little pain in the ball of my foot coming from Faction Plastiks that are flat boots, to a heeled boot and the different weight distribution that comes with that, but that went away fairly quickly after heat molding and getting used to having a heel again. For reference, I have a 270 mondo with short toes, high arches, and a moderately wide forefoot, and the size 9-10 is perfect.
