Overview
The FR Skates FR SL 80 Skates are made with a fully carbon boot making the skates very lightweight and precise which is ideal for serious freestyle skaters. Inside of the boot are fixed liners made of mesh and microfiber materials. The fit is tight and creates a full wrap around your foot for a great performing skate with a high amount of energy transfer. A few different closures support the fit and give you a lot of control including two micro-adjustable straps, a velcro toe-strap, and laces. The MPC Freestyle wheels spin on FR TwinCam ILQ9 Slalom Pro bearings with a flat setup on the 243mm FR Deluxe Frames.

Sizing Chart
GENERAL SKATE SIZING GUIDELINES |
|
---|---|
Measure both feet with socks similar to those in which you intend to skate. Then use the measurement of the longest point and reference the model-specific size chart to determine size. How to Measure Your Feet for Skates. | |
Proper fit has the toes not being cramped against the front. Toes may slightly brush the front as heels will settle back when in the skating position. Try on skates indoors while in a seated position. Lace and buckle both skates, tap your heels to the floor, and then stand and bend your knees to simulate the skating position. Customer Reviews
This is gotta be one of the best pairs of inlines to touch my feet. You can feel every crack and bump you roll over giving you complete control.
Best skates on the marketVery nice and responsive. Definitely worth it!
Great skate - terrible QCSkates are really responsive, comfortable, and overall great. However, I've now gone through two boots where the bolt receiver has stripped out which requires the boot to be sent back to the manufacturer. I've also had an eyelet rip out, a buckle break (which I replaced with a Seba one from another skate), and a strap strip out. In my opinion, this is absolutely unacceptable for a high-end skate and cancels out any positive aspects about this boot. Frankly, my trix2 lasted three times longer than this boot and was a quarter of the cost.
