Overview
The FR Skates FR3 80 Skates in Black got a makeover with with X3R rockerable frames that skate lower for better balance and stability. A perfect setup for FReestyle and FReeride skating.
The new X3R Frames offer lower balance, better stability, and a great new look but FR states that there may be some wheel clearance issues if trying to move them to the older FR3 shell. The X3R frame is NOT compatible with the current short and medium 4WD Brakes (a new brake for the X3R will be out soon). This new FR3 shell still has the integrated 7-hole frame mounting plates that enhance energy transfer and give further customization options but the boots were also updated to use standard 4mm frame mounting screws so that standard allen keys can be used. Two one-piece axles are used in the middle, with rockerable axles on the outside (all with 4mm heads). To rocker the wheels up or down you just turn the asymmetrical axle into the position you'd like with either the logo facing upward or downward. The FR3 80 Skates come with 80mm 85A Downtown Wheels with TwinCam M7 bearings. Drylex Memory Foam Liners can lace to the shell and include insoles that hug your feet comfortably.

Sizing Chart
GENERAL SKATE SIZING GUIDELINES | |
---|---|
Measure both feet with socks similar to those in which you intend to skate. Then use the measurement of the longest point and reference the model-specific size chart to determine size. How to Measure Your Feet for Skates. | |
Proper fit has the toes not being cramped against the front. Toes may slightly brush the front as heels will settle back when in the skating position. Try on skates indoors while in a seated position. Lace and buckle both skates, tap your heels to the floor, and then stand and bend your knees to simulate the skating position. How to Try on Inline Skates for Fit. | |
FR liners break in with skate time to free up more room. A snug fit from the start is good. * FR is doing a running change to adjust the US size on these sizes to more closely correspond with the measurements for that size. The skate box (or tongue) may read either US size during this change, but the sizing of the skate is the same (EU, MP, and CM). |
