A Power-Focused Playing Style suits players who thrive on generating strong, top-end speed through forceful and longer strides. They come with a stiffer boot that efficiently transfers energy into the ice for maximum power with every stride.
-

An Acceleration-Focused Playing Style is ideal for players who rely on quick bursts of speed and agile movements to dominate the game. These offer a moderately stiff boot that balances support with mobility. You can swiftly change direction, make sudden moves, and accelerate rapidly with these skates.

Level of Play Definitions
If multiple categories are selected, it indicates the skate is suitable for multiple levels of play.
-
Recreational-Level
Recreational ice hockey skates are built for the new-to-hockey player or casual skaters that are looking for an affordable option. These are great starter skates, especially for youth players.
-
Performance-Level
Performance-level ice hockey skates are a great fit for players who are confident in their skating stride and are ready to take their on-ice performance to the next level. These players are on the ice 1-2 times a week playing mid-to-high level hockey.
-
Elite-Level
Elite-level ice hockey skates are built for the best performance, protection, durability, and comfort. These players are usually on the ice three times or more a week and are playing high-level hockey.
The upgraded composite boot is noticeably stiffer and more supportive, and Daoust takes things a step further by adding a composite outsole. The result is faster response, better energy transfer, and the kind of explosive feel you'd expect from a true elite skate for twice the price.
Inside, the dual-density VE Poly Foam liner creates that "at home" feeling from the very first step. The added thickness allows the foot to sink into the boot and lock in naturally, creating a custom-like fit with zero wasted power. The Diamond microfiber liner rounds things out by managing moisture exceptionally well, keeping feet drier and more comfortable deep into long games or practices.
Up top, the adjustable and replaceable 7mm Pro Felt tongue offers excellent protection and the opportunity to fine-tune fit. A simple Velcro attachment lets players adjust internal volume, while the replaceable design makes life much easier incase the tongue ever wears out and needs to be replaced.
For the ultimate fitting experience that can be done without leaving the house, make sure to first Bake Your Skates at Home and then Check for Proper Skate Fit. If you are still unsatisfied with how they fit and feel, simply use the included pre-paid return label.
