At its core is a stiffer 60/40 composite boot paired with a composite outsole, creates a noticeably more explosive and supportive base than lower-tier models. This construction is designed for aggressive, powerful skating, delivering better energy transfer and stability through quick starts, hard stops, quick transitions, and high-speed cuts.
Inside, Daoust leans heavily into what separates this line from the competition: classic step-in comfort. The dual-density VE Poly Foam liner allows the foot to settle naturally into the boot while maintaining a locked-in feel, eliminating dead space without creating pressure points. Wrapped in a Diamond microfiber liner, the 501 excels at moisture management, keeping feet drier and more comfortable during long games, practices or tournaments.
Up top, the adjustable and replaceable 7mm Pro Felt tongue delivers excellent protection while allowing players to fine-tune internal volume for a more personalized fit. Underfoot, the composite outsole is paired with Daoust's Hi-Lo roller chassis, which comes installed with axles but intentionally excludes wheels, bearings, and spacers. This gives players the freedom to build the exact setup they want, or reuse their existing hardware, while putting more of the skate's cost into premium boot performance where it matters most.
