The Jump series of skates by Chaya is made for skaters who want both function and flair from their skates, and the Brownie surely satisfies those demands. Inspired by high-top sneaker culture, this earth toned beauty has sturdy uppers that are made from a combination of real leather and PU-leather, an artificial material that is cleaner to make and lighter than real leather. The Jump Brownie is an extremely comfortable boot that has anatomical padding, a shock-absorbing insole, and a wide fit through the rounded toe box that is very accommodating.
Like previous editions of Jump Skates, the Chaya Brownie has high-quality, fully replaceable components that provide a smooth and enjoyable experience. The Chaya Shari Plate is made from glass-fiber reinforced plastic, same as the boot outsole, and that combination together creates a skate that is super responsive to skater inputs. Carving and flow skating feels amazing in these skates, and we like to think the agile Zephyr Wheels have a lot to do with that. Their 59x38mm size profile is versatile enough for aggressive street skating or casual cruising, and their rounded tires have a slightly harder than usual 83A hardness that gives them better roll and performance than softer outdoor wheels.
Chaya Jump Brownie Roller Skates are a fantastic pair of lifestyle skates for any skater who wants style and performance from their outdoor skates. With the Zephyr Wheels they have on them, they're best for urban skating, short commutes, jam skating, and flowy footwork, but with some grind blocks and different wheels, they'd be great for skate parks!
