The CCM Tacks AS 580 Pant offers high-quality protection and mobility for the competitive hockey player. The molded spine guard creates a low-profile barrier from nasty crosschecks and seamlessly transitions into the tailbone guard for a raised comfort level.
Additionally, CCM used their JDP construction in the hip caps to offer players elite-level impact protection, as the hip guards disperse impact energy away from the joint and into the soft surrounding foam. The AS 580s even feature an internal belt, a standout feature at this price point since this design maximizes comfort and keeps the pants locked on the waist all game long.
Lastly, players can utilize the 1" extension system as they quickly grow and can adjust their leg volume using the zippered opening. The shell is made with a premium 400D nylon with extra reinforcement in key wear areas and mesh panels on both the front and back for optimal airflow.

Measure the circumference of your waist just above the hips. Correspond this measurement to the sizing chart and cross-reference your height. You may overlap between hockey pant sizes, which in this case comes down to personal preference. The smaller size will fit closer to the body while the larger size will offer more volume and coverage.

Awesome pants, highly recommendedI am 6’0 and 290lbs not big, but husky sized. So pants were hard to find that fit, comfortable, and provides the proper padding where needed.
These pants do all of that!

Finally, pants for fat guysAs a big guy pushing 40, finding pants that you don't have to squeeze into is nearly impossible. For reference, I'm 5'11" 250lbs with a size 38 waist. Having love handles and a gut has never made pants easy but these size XXL pants fit great. I wore them with suspenders and found them to be quite comfy with breathing room to spare. Nice for when your winded on the bench. Highly recommend for bigger guys looking for a easier fit.
