These come with blue, red, pink and tan color decals along with full sets of numbers so both skates can be completely personalized however the young superstar wants to.
For higher-end play, CCM utilized an upgraded injected boot core that is stiffer and more responsive than recreational skates. As the player's stride develops, this extra support directly results in more power and agility. The AS-580 also comes with the new SlickTec Heel Application that makes putting on the skates as easy as slipping on a pair of slippers. Don't worry though, they are still just as comfy and secure!

Customer Reviews
Solid skateGot these for my six year old who’s been playing for about a year. Good quality skate so far; good amount of stiffness. Happy overall.
2 Notes for Youth Sizes2 important notes for parents buying these in youth sizes:
1) These skates (youth) DO NOT have J-Hooks at the top 2 levels for lacing as the pictures of the skates reflect. The pictures are misleading.
2) These skates come pre-sharpened so do not pay extra for sharpening when ordering.
The only reason I bought these skates is because I thought they had J Hooks at the top like the AS-550 skates. I was buying these as an “upgrade” from the AS-550 skates as my 3 year old moved up from a size 7 to size 8 (youth).
Overall, the skates are good and my 3 year old likes them. With that said, they’re likely not necessary for a 3 or 4 year old. If the you want or like skates with the J Hooks for a young skater/player you can probably stick with the AS-550. However, if you don’t like the J Hooks, these skates can be a good option as the slick heel is helpful. I also like the “optimal fit zone” markings on the in-soles and my kid likes the customizable colors.
If these had the J Hooks I would have given 5 stars.
