CCM's max coverage FZN Shield Design uses a newly injection-molded shin cap fused with an internal plastic sling to provide enhanced coverage on both sides of the leg. This updated construction combines with a self-conforming injected calf guard that wraps naturally around the lower leg for a secure, protective fit.

D3O® foam and high-density foam dampening reinforce the calf guard to help absorb hard slashes, blocked shots, and contact along the boards. At the knee, an injection-molded cap features a D3O® Zero comfort donut around the kneecap to help absorb and disperse impact energy away from the joint. Additional D3O® foam reinforcement at the bottom of the shin cap provides maximum impact protection, while a compression-molded high-density foam side guard reinforces the outside of the leg.

Removable compression-molded EVA FLEXMOTION thigh guard provide adjustable coverage above the knee, allowing natural movement through each stride when in place. CCM's padded Hyper X Lock Strap wraps comfortably behind the knee to keep the shin guard securely in place, while length-adjustable dual calf straps provide a secure, customized fit around the lower leg. Internally, a removable liner with a D3O® donut provides additional cushioning, with an adjustable lower section that allows players to tuck skate tongues under the pad for snug, close to the leg protection.
