Overview
Bont Hybrid Athena Skates are a high performance package for skaters who want an ultra-responsive and lightweight setup that blends derby and speed skating technologies into one. The vegan-friendly Hybrid boot uses a fiberglass base to provide extra support and strength, then wraps uppers made from microfiber around the heat-moldable base. The boot is built on Bont's incredible last that they've been refining and perfecting since 1975 and it's this snug fit that lends the boot much of its comfort and performance capabilities.
Hybrid Athena Skates feature the outstanding Athena Plate, crafted from 6061 aircraft grade aluminum and boasting a 20˚ kingpin, a micro adjustable action nut, adjustable pivots, and a locking toe stop clamp. Bont Evolve Wheels are from the 59mm "Derby" series, which are ideal for the quick, lateral movements and powerful edging that dominate the sport. Bont ABEC 5 Bearings and a Toe-Go Toe Stop round out these amazing components.
Some assembly required! Bont ships their skate packages with wheels and bearings unassembled.
