Cut Protection Level

The Vaughn Velocity V5 7800 Pro goalie leg pads offer outstanding features and protection for roller hockey and ice hockey goalies alike. The dual breaks and rounded knee rolls offer a traditional feel that is extremely flexible and offers goaltenders maximum mobility.
The VPG 7800 leg pads replace the Vaughn Velocity 7600 and have new design features offering you more performance. Vaughn is using a new knee cradle design with a hinged outside flex panel and angled strapping that allows for better pad rotation and protection. The goalie leg pad channel has been optimized for pad rotation and a comfortable fit. Vaughn is using new Velocity V5 graphics on the face of the leg pads designed to confuse the shooter and make the goalkeeper seem larger. As a new feature on these pads Vaughn designed a new wider outside leg protector that offers complete leg coverage. The inside edge has also been redesigned with high density foams making the edge firmer giving the hockey goalie improved five hole coverage. Vaughn is using new pad internals that have refined increasing durability, while maintaining the shape and height intact longer. New five-hole landing pad is thicker and is configured for improved balance.
The Vaughn V5 7800 leg pads are built using pro spec construction and the retail leg pads are made exactly like the pros. High quality materials are used throughout ensuring maximum durability and protection. Internally, the 7800 leg pad has a high density foam core and is padded with Vaughn's Flex-Pac system giving goalkeepers additional flex at the ankle. The inner roll liner is made from the same synthetic leather as the face, and lightweight woven nylon fabric is used on the outer edge. On the outer edge of the pads, Vaughn's logo is stitched on offering a professional look. The inner lining material is made from lightweight nylon, while knee cradle, leg and boot channels are lined with Vaughn's proprietary MSH3 synthetic material. Nylon, and a breathable mesh material are used to cover the molded thigh guard assuring a comfortable fit.
The Vaughn 7800 leg pad is designed for hockey goalies that prefers a more flexible traditional feel. A flat faced flexible design gives goalies more control over rebounds and the rounded knee rolls offer more impact dampening. The outer roll has three breaks, one above the knee, one below the knee and one at the ankle allowing for additional flex. Protecting the upper thigh is the integrated molded thigh guard and elastic adjustable strap. Securing the upper portion of the pad is two adjustable nylon straps with plastic buckles. The pro width knee cradle is secured with a dual elastic strap that will help keep the knee safe and secure within the pad. Their are 3 leather calf wrap straps with metal buckles that keep the lower leg in place. Keeping the lower portion of the pad in place is 1 leather boot strap along with toe bridge and toe tie laces.
