The Bauer Reactor 4000 Goalie Leg Pads offer a completely new design for 2013, replacing the Bauer Reflex line of goalie equipment. Bauer originally released the Reactor line of goalie gear in 1994, offering goaltenders innovative and functional designs that helped create the foundation for many of the goalie products on the market today.

High grade synthetic leathers are used throughout the face and high wear areas of these pads ensuring excellent durability. Nylon and mesh materials are used on the inner side, able to wick away moisture while reducing the overall weight. The nylon, elastic and leather strapping system ensures goaltenders get a precise customizable fit.

The Reactor 4000 goalie leg pads feature lightweight construction and design maximizing performance. Bauer's Pro Core insert provides the majority of the internal structure, maximizing the goaltenders blocking surface area. The Reactor goalie leg pads are constructed using a fairly flat face design with slight raised vertical runs improving the shot dampening. Squared knee rolls on the Reactor 4000 leg pads help control rebounds while increasing protection. The outer roll has a triangular design, reducing the overall weight and improves puck deflections by directing pucks away from the goal. Three breaks in the outer roll maximizes leg pad flexibility and mobility, ideal for active goalkeepers. Additional upper thigh protection comes form the removable NHL legal under-pant thigh protector. Ensuring the perfect fit, Bauer is using their upgraded (AKL) Adjustable Knee Lock system that is lined with synthetic leather maximizing fit, comfort and knee protection. The enhanced knee stack system keeps the goaltenders knee elevated, reducing overall joint stress and allows for increased leg extension. Improved performance comes from the synthetic leather lined deep leg and boot channels, allowing the leg pads to contour the shin and skates for precise pad movements and control. Bauer's upgraded three-piece calf wrap design provides additional calf protection and comfort for goalies playing at the advanced levels.

Bauer Reactor 4000 goalie pads offers superior agility and pure performance for goaltenders that are more aggressive, and are willing to challenge the shooter to make the save.

Comments: These are fantastic pads! Granted it's been a long time since I bought new pads so anything was probably going to feel like a step up from my old ones. But these pads are terrific! They are very light and don't absorb moisture - so they stay light throughout the entire skate. They feel stiff when you're holding them in your hands but move nicely and rotate well when playing. I didn't feel like I really needed to "break them in". They are very comfortable and I feel like I have great control of the pads. Overall they have really improved my game quite a bit!
