The Wargate Lower Face Shield Cage is the ultimate addition to your hockey helmet, providing exceptional lower-face protection against facial injuries while allowing for maximum visibility and ventilation. As the pace of the game is getting faster, facial protection is key but so is visibility.

Players usually have to sacrifice either their vision or breathability when installing full facial protection, but the Wargate Shield Cage works seamlessly with all certified visors like Wargate Oakley CCM Tour, and Alkali, however, the Cage can also be used on its own. This gives players the benefit of breathable steel cage protection for the chin and mouth with crystal clear visor protection for the nose and eyes.

Using your current visor and visor spacers, the cage comes equipped with additional hardware to perform the assembly. The visor and cage secure together, providing a fixed attachment so the protection stays put and impact is absorbed by the helmet. It's only compatible with senior-sized hockey helmets but the cage itself can either be compressed or extended according to your helmet width. Once installed, players can also adjust the cage vertically to dial in their coverage and comfort.

WARGATE LOWER FACE SHIELD CAGE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The following instructions were provided by the manufacturer.
The Wargate Lower Face Shield Cage comes with (4) long screws and (8) 2mm spacers. You will need to have (4) 6mm visor spacers to complete the installation process. These usually come with your current or new visor, but you can also purchase them separately here - 6mm Visor Spacer
Step 1Extend or compress the cage sideways to fit your visor and helmet width.
Step 2Insert the cage screws provided into the visor's slots on one side. Slide 6mm visor spacers over each screw and then insert them through the cage's slot.
Step 3Add the 2mm cage spacers and then insert the assembly into the helmet's holes, using extra 2mm cage spacers in case a thicker layer is desired between the helmet and cage.
Step 4Tighten the screws lightly to allow movement and repeat the procedure for the other side.
Step 5Place the helmet and face protector on your head. Align the shield when there is little to no distance between the shield and the visor.
Step 6When the desired position is determined, secure the screws tightly in place by hand using a screwdriver.

Worth itAfter taking a close call last game, I bought this immediately. You can barely tell it's there and combines the best of both worlds; visibility of a visor but the protection of a cage.
