Overview
The Vaughn Pro Padded Goalie Compression Pant works as a base layer with added knee and lower thigh protection. EVA foam adds an additional layer of protection to these two areas that are prone to stray pucks or sticks. Each piece of EVA foam is removable, allowing goalies to wash their compression pants.
The pants are also constructed with a flexible and moisture-wicking material to keep goalies dry and comfortable. Additional vented panels down the center and on each side increase breathability to help dissipate heat buildup. The base layer is then built with a special cut to match goalie movements and ensure maximum mobility. Vaughn included Velcro tabs so goalies can secure their hockey socks.
These pants have been a staple base layer for goalies for years, known as the V10, VX1, and now the VPP-1. Each model showcases the same features with only a name and color change.
