The Triple 8 Deep Cover Helmet has been 30 years in the making and it does not disappoint. It has a slim profile and fits deep to better protect areas at the back of the head that are usually ignored by skate helmets. The biggest innovation is the introduction of HIDDEN HINGE technology, which separates the front three quarters of the helmet from the back portion with a hinge that allows the two parts to flex apart. Through this hinged action, the Deep Cover Helmet auto-adjusts to stay snug and secure over the occipital region at the back of the head.
This unique protection is further aided by their LUXE LOCK liners, which features an oversized pad that sits at the very back of the helmet. This pad even extends downward past the shell of the helmet so that it fully encompasses and protects the back of the head from impacts. Every Deep Cover helmet includes a 17-piece FIT KIT that is loaded with liners and sizing shims of different sizes so that every user can precisely fine tune their helmet's fit. This helmet may not look any different from the outside, but once you put on one, you'll immediately recognize the difference!
Slightly different fitI think the fit is slightly different than the triple 8 supersavers. On the triple 8 website, someone else said the fit of these are more round.
I like how the fit is more customizable.
The Barbie Patin color is shiny. It has purple and green shift.
I haven't hit my head in these so I can't comment on that.
