Right out of the box, the Kv1 boasts an anatomical fit profile along with adaptable Relay memory foam padding that immediately molds around all foot shapes. Great skates for the moneyThese are great skates for the money. The toe box is a little high. I’d recommend getting one of those spongy gutter guard strips, and cutting 2 pieces the size of a power foot insert out of it, and sticking them to the top of the toe box. It will stick to the velcro on the top that connects to the tongue.
Once you do that, these are basically perfect.
NiceNice skates. But I'm new to hockey skates and would have been nice to know my 230 pound self needed harder wheels. The hellcats stick, but can feel them flexing hard when I shred a stop or deep cross over. Guess I need to order some Konix. I don't play hockey, but I like the versatility of hockey skates.
Came from Bauer to theseFit’s so much more comfortable for me. What you get for the price can’t really compare either. I have a pair of prev years volt pro’s and these edge them out a little bit.
I play these hard though and they look it already. The finish does get kinda knocked up just by the nature and make.
Solid skatesI had a pair of the Kv2 before I bought these. I went down half a size cause the Kv2 wore out much faster than I expected. I thought maybe because they were a size big.. These are def a step above the kv2. The toe vents are such a huge upgrade. I've only skated on them 3-4 times now and still haven't totally got them worn in. I can't speak for the wheels as I've found the brand I like and swapped them out immediately. Only gripe is that the boot finish scuffs pretty easy. So they will probably age fast if you are really hard on them. I mostly use these for recreational skating at the local rink. They are pretty comfortable and I like the adjustable tongue as well.
Worth every pennyThese skates are extremely well made, everything you want and need in a high end roller skate. Coming from the Volt Kv2, these are just dialed into even more upgrades I didn’t know I wanted. The breathable toe box, the holders are even more solid, and the style/design of the boot is an eye catcher. I can’t speak on the bearings, I always upgrade those in every skate I own but the wheels were very good and performed well. I love the leather touches they incorporated. It feels so solid, much better quality than any Bauer skate I’ve worn. Very comfortable out of the box, but do seem to run slightly bigger but they are a medium profile. I wear a 6.5. 7 was a little bulky and giving me too much room in the boot, I sized down to a 6. Fits perfect.
