Customer Reviews
Seems like a solid skate but there are issuesI really wanted to write a very positive review but there are a couple of issues that should be noted here after using these for a few weeks.
Positives.
Very comfortable
Very stiff boot, good for a bigger/wider foot.
Skates are overall very light
Negatives
Stock Kemistry Sippra wheels are not grippy enough to be 76A. I think they are cheap. I swapped these to the Kemistry Cycloniums and could stop just fine on sport tiles.
The top corner of the boots just above the top eyelets have worn so much after just 4 weeks of use that the plastic shell on the inside is already exposed and sticking out of the boot on the outside eyelet. This is unacceptable and is indicative that these skates will not last me multiple years. I may seek to take some action with Inline Warehouse on these but would not want the same skate as it will just have the same issues.
I really like these skatesThese skates fit me well and keep my heel well-locked back into place. They are great for my skating form. I wanted a pair of skates that weren't set up with a HiLo chassis, and there aren't a lot of performance-level skates with them. They seem to run just slightly wider than normal which is perfect for me. My normal shoe brands that fit my foot well are New Balance, Puma, and Merrell for reference.
Not in loveMy 15-year-old Code 1's finally gave out so I am trying these. My first pair was a defect, the bottom of the boot separated from the toe after one use. Inline Warehouse was REALLY great and sent a brand new pair to me after I sent the pictures in.
I’ve had the second pair for 6 weeks or so now with about 12 games/scrimmages. They still just don’t feel like the quality of my old code 1s. Even after baking they still don’t feel broken in, I replaced the laces because the originals are too short, and even as an elite-level skater I can never seem to get them as snug as I’d like. The edge of the boot rubs on my ankle and the rubber is so hard that it makes me bleed every use, even with tall socks. So now the cotton on the tongue is covered in blood stains which is a cool look haha. Maybe I should have paid the extra for a better pair from the get-go, so that’s on me.
It’s been 15 years so I wasn’t sure what you get for $300 these days.
Great SkatesThe skates are great fit especially if they're heat molded. Great boot and if you continue to wear your foot gets use to it. Overall it's a great skate.
