TACKI MAC INSTALLATION GUIDE
Tacki Mac Grips may either come with water-activated or solvent-activated tape. Please read the packaging instructions to see which method you need to use for installation.
Water-Activated Tape:
Step 1. Starting with a clean stick end and removing any previous tape, remove the backing from both sides of the double-sided tape that is included. Apply tape to the stick's butt end, overhanging the end of the stick by 1/4". Fold overhanging end down to lay flat on the stick's butt end.

Step 2. Mix 2-3 drops of mild liquid soap with hot water in a container. Pour the hot water mixture over the tape and rub your index finger over it to activate the adhesive. Do not use a grease-fighting soap like Dawn as this will ruin the glue on the tape.

Step 3. Slide your Tacki Mac Grip over the butt end and allow 20 minutes for the tape to set up before use.
Solvent-Activated Tape:
Step 1. Starting with a clean stick end and removing any previous tape, remove the backing from both sides of the double-sided tape that is included. Apply tape to the stick's butt end, overhanging the end of the stick by 1/4". Fold overhanging end down to lay flat on the stick's butt end.

Step 2. Pour a small amount of mineral spirits or paint thinner over the solvent tape to activate the adhesive.

Step 3. Slide your Tacki Mac Grip over the butt end and allow 20 minutes for the tape to set up before use.

Horrible InstallSo I followed the instructions and the tape came out of the shaft and bunched up during install when forcing the grip on. Which takes a LOT of force. Nevermind the install video for this product, it will not go on like that. Will it hold? Probably, but now it has a stupid fat spot halfway down the grip. Looks terrible. Other than that, the grip does grip.

Similar to textured gripThe Kane grip nice and also thin, like the "wrapped texture" one, not the thick "ribbed wrapped".

Thin but durablePerfect grip! Thin design yet very durable. I've tried a few others but the Kane grip feels the best!

Better than ribbed oneKane grip is the thinnest of all the varieties, but I have decided that I like more of a knob than this grip offers. I don't think this one protects your gloves as well because there is no knob. I actually wore down the corner of this grip at the top, that is how thin it is. But definitly a better feel for the stick than the 'ribbed' one that IW says is most popular.

Perfect gripThe ribbed part seems more of a decoration than added grip. I have a stick that still has the ribbed effect using stick tape and I can feel the twisted tape more than the ribs on the Kane grip. I bought these because I was tired of the tape messing up my gloves. They go on very easily but removing them might get a little messy as the tape may be hard to remove. Overall they are perfect.

Awesome productGreat product, took about 5 mins to put both the tape and the grip on. Left it over night to adhere to the stick and I have had zero issues since.
