Senior Derby Packages
Senior Helmets
Hockey helmets are a great choice for roller derby due to the advanced technologies and materials used that protect from the intense and violent impacts that occur in hockey (and also in derby). If you don't like the look or fit of a hockey helmet, multi-impact skate helmets like the S-1 Lifer are a comparable alternative.
Senior Mouthguards
Both of these mouthguards are heat moldable and protective. The Shock Doctor Pro offers an econmical option and the SISU is the most popular derby mouthguard due to it's low profile and comfort.
Senior Elbow Pads
Triple 8 and 187 are two of the most popular brands in derby. The EP 55 option will provide a larger cap while the Killer Pad relies more on it's padding for protection.
Senior Wrist Guards
Atom opts for a wider palm plate and is popular for being so lightweight and breathable. Triple 8 has traditional splints on bottom AND on top for a more supportive fit and feel.
Senior Knee Pads
One of the most important assests in Derby is good knee pads. Both of these options provide ample padding and secure caps. The 187 option features a slide on style while the Smith is a butterfly option.
Senior Skates
Entry-level packages offering good comfort and durability. The Riedell R3 Derby is a tried and true favorite that includes a toe cap while the Chaya Ruby uses a toe stop lock that will save a lot of fuss.
Senior Add-Ons
These items are not required by most leagues but they will help you out! Additional protective items are good for recruits who since they will be spending time meeting the floor and tools and skate accessories will help keep your gear in tip-top shape!
