Overview
S1 Elbow Pads are made from a durable, heavy weight ballistic nylon fabric with a high grade ABS plastic cap to protect the elbow. The resulting pad is comfortable, breathable, and built to last. The top strap is adjustable to achieve a snug fit and the bottom strap is fixed to prevent the pad from slipping down the arm. Set includes both left and right elbow pads as well as a quality mesh carrying bag.

Favorite elbow pads so farI have the opposite problem as the other reviewer. I like these, but not the pro. Maybe if you don’t get the sizing just right, there will be issues. I’ve never loved any elbow pads, except these.
Good for certain applicationsI am normally a fan of S1, and these pads would probably be fine for skating around/skateboarding - but they haven't been good for aggressive roller derby gameplay. Without the bottom strap to help keep it in place, it moves and slips off while playing. I see S1 smartened up and made the Pro - too bad that wasn't available when I bought these. I guess I'll be moving these to my outdoor trail skating gear and buying the Pros for actual roller derby.
