KEY TECHNOLOGIES

Footboard Sizer
A slim insole that removes/adds volume when placed under the footbed. Included in the skate box, they help each boot cover a full size range (i.e. 9.0-9.5), making them easy to size with the ability to provide a more snug or more relaxed fit.

Memory Buckle Closure System
Micro-adjustable buckles with multiple connection points. Once set, a single pull on the internal side allows the skater to get out of the skates quickly, and back in them at the same precise setting enjoyed previously without any adjustment.

Sizing, fit, learning new thingsI’m a 7.5-8.0 in women’s shoes and the 8.0-8.5 fit perfectly with enough room for my toes NOT to brush the end of the boot. Got these to upgrade my fit from an aggressive style boot to do more slalom style tricks. I noticed that I have excellent responsiveness on ankle pressures, turns are quick and comfortable. I love the easy on/off with the straps. I do wish the upper strap was a little bit longer as I have a teensy bit of trouble closing that one on its widest setting, but once it’s on it’s not too tight. Looking forward to learning more styles of skating and new tricks and I definitely feel like these skates are going to help me get there. 10:10 would recommend to a friend.

GreatJust getting back into skating after a 15 year hiatus. Picked the Lightning’s because I wanted a hard boot. I chose a true to shoe size as I was right on the border between two different sizes at an 11.5. They are a bit snug but not enough that I wanted to size up. They are comfy for a hard boot but not as comfy as I would have hoped. I do have very narrow feet and ankles. So that could be taken into account.

Childhood RevivalWish I had something like these when I was younger. The boot is solid giving you absolute control. The straps are adjustable in 2 different locations. They stay strapped and feel very secure. I’ve had to increase the tightness as the boot breaks in so keep that in mind. Foot measures 10.75” so I went with the 10-10.5. Fits good with the added insole (size 9-9.5 was too tight and 10-10.5 left me a tiny bit of room to where I still had control but my foot wasn’t cramped. Excellent boot and can’t wait till summer!

The buckle is weakI used these for one night and the plastic teeth holding the adjuster on broke into pieces. Please make a more durable buckle system. My old pair of skates never broke, the wheels just needed to be replaced. I got a good word about these lightnings from a friend so I’m pretty frustrated.

Good all around skatesBought with it matching my regular shoe size and it fits perfectly. Hard shell provides plenty of support for building stability muscle groups. The adjustable quick straps make it so I can find the perfect balance of snug without cutting off blood flow to my feet. Wheels have been serving well across medium to smooth surfaces. Been just a nice pair to have for learning and enjoying some empty parking lots and paved trails.

Most comfortable pairI rollerskate a lot as a hobby and just to my college classes. I had an old pair that didn’t work well for me so i decided to get new ones. These were a game changer! It’s a very smooth ride and extremely comfortable for long periods of time. Definitely recommend!

Great skatesI've haven't rollerbladed since I was younger and wanted to get back into it, so I'm not an expert, but I hope this review is helpful. After reading and watching many reviews, I wanted a pair of blades that were a little higher quality than the good intro-level soft boot options, such as Rollerblade Zetra or Rollerblade Macroblade 80. From what folks suggested, hard boots provide more control, while maybe being a tad less comfortable than soft boots. I was really worried about sizing. My foot measures at 29.0 cm, and the chart recommends a size 11, but I wear a size 12 shoe, so I bought both the size 11 (29-29.5 cm) and size 12 (30-30.5). The Rollerblade Lightning 80 blades are fantastic. They look great, they are sturdy, and all great quality from what I can tell (again, I haven't bladed in a while). The memory buckles are really nice to have, no need to count the number of clicks on the old buckle to get consistent tightness. Having two buckles are great for securing the foot. I don't think the shoestrings change the tightness at all, so I rely mostly on the buckles for securing the boot. Memory buckles do save time and are very easy to use. The hard boot does provide a quicker response compared to the soft boot. For sizing, the 11s were pretty snug, with my toes pushing into the end of the liner, which at first I thought would be an issue, while the 12s provided much more room, toes barely touching the end of the liner. After trying both for a while, the 11s started to break in, and my toes were feeling much better. The issue with the 12s for my feet was that I could feel ankle squish, even after tightening the boot and putting in the spacer. I read that ankle squish (movement) should be avoided; it means the boot isn't the right fit. So with a size 29 cm foot, I went with the size 11 (29-29.5). It may seem like a no-brainer, but I wanted to make sure my foot wasn't going to be cramped. Also, trust that the liner will break in and pack out, which will give your toes more room. Overall, great blades! Wheels/bearings are great, smooth, and fast. Very comfortable to wear, as long as you size correctly, trust the size chart.

Better than the originalsI wear a size 9.5sgoe, and I sized up to a 10/10.5 and it fits perfect/slightly snug out of the box. After break in, they'll be great!

The skates are greatI am writing this positive review for inline warehouse. I had to exchange my skates because I needed a different size. The process was so easy. Customer support was very helpful. Would recommend this company to anyone. My wife and I each bought skates and are very happy.

A few words on fittingComing from ice/inline hockey skates I wanted something more appropriate for parking lot and casual rips. These are absolute beauties I wish I could have had them back in ‘92. Now on the subject of fit, after putting too much thought into this here is what I settled on. On the Bauer fit lab I measured right at 26cm fit 3. I wear a CCM jetspeed 690 in 7D and Alkali Revel 2 in 7. I picked these up in 8-8.5 and with a heat gun carefully warming up the liner and wearing them while watching TV they are breaking in perfectly. Long story short, get fitted and use your mondopoint & trust that the liner will form around your foot. Also look at how the boot fits with the liner pulled out, push your toes to the endcap a little more than one finger space is perfect, 2 fingers space is too big.
