Overview

The Rollerblade Blank Team Pigeon Skates were designed and tested by the Blank Pro Team. Pigeon is the colorway on these, and although not a huge fan of the name, it looks great. The Blank shell provides excellent support at the foot and ankle to handle high impacts and perform technical grinds when skating either street or park. 
 
Blank Liners (removable) have strategic padding and stretchable toes (footboard sizer included to adjust size). Inside are Performance-Plus Insoles that have a rubber outsole and a silicone strip to be strong and stay in place. Direct Mount soulplates connect with the shell to offer great balance, control, and a better feel when grinding. The closures work together with the integrated lacing of the liners to provide an excellent wrap (45-degree strap, and a cuff buckle).  Integrated shock absorbers work to soften landings. Blank UFS Frames have curved walls that reduce friction and lowered h-blocks skate well with either a flat or anti-rocker setup. Out of the box they come with Hydrogen 60mm 92A Wheels, 42mm plastic anti-rocker wheels, and Twincam ILQ-9 Classic Plus Bearings.

Would Recommend
Solid and versatile aggressive skateI have been aggressive skating for 1 year, and I've been focusing on learning grinds. I have been on the USD Aeon Team XXI with Sliqx soul plate sliders and I LOVE the agility and lightweight, and they carve/skate great. The Sliqx made the souls fast but shortened the distance between the bottom of the soul plate and the bottom of the soul. Thus, I felt it was easier to pop out of my lock for my soul grinds. I was looking for a boot that had a good soul plate and the ability to swap frames (I wanted to try the Oysi Med frame). I saw great reviews for the Rollerblade Blanks but I was concerned about the weight and it feeling too flat (no forward lean, unlike the Aeons which have a huge shock absorber that makes it into a raised heel setup) After getting the Rollerblade Blanks, they are my favorite boot currently. I skated the stock anti-rocker frame initially, and everything felt solid. The soul plate and frame setup feels incredible for locking soul grinds, and groove tricks felt just as confident. But, I have never skated anti-rocker before and I prefer the maneuverability of 4 flat, so the Oysi med frame went on. I'm running 65mm/59mm Apex wheels (sold at Oak City Skate Shop), which is essentially a flat setup. My progression with learning grinds has accelerated greatly with this setup. The Oysi Med frame seems to be a perfect complement to this boot and frame. All of my grinds lock solidly and slide far and fast. And I finally am learning Royales. This setup just works for me for grinds. It seems the slightly extra weight assists in giving me a solid, confident lock onto both ledges and rails, and I haven't noticed any extra fatigue skating around the park. The liner may be my favorite liner, even compared to the stock myfit liner in the Aeons, which I heat molded. Note: those are excellent, but these are just as good if not better for me, Also, the sizing is spot on. I like my skates (and ski/snowboard boots) to fit as snug to my foot without pain. I am a 265mm mondo in ski boots, I got the 8-8.5 and it's a perfectly snug fit. The buckles and straps are excellent, and the laces, although not waxed, just work. I bought waxed laces to install but I haven't felt the need to replace the stock laces. I did 2 modifications: 1. I felt the boot did ride too flat, as I am used to raised-heel boots (Twister XT and Aeons). I got a basic Dr Schols heel pad from Target and installed that between the shock absorber and the liner... it's now the perfect amount of forward lean for me. 2. I have a decent arch... not too high but enough that I wanted a bit more arch support. I used the Superfeet Green insoles and the boots are now a perfect fit. As far as cons... the cuffs squeak a bit when you flex in them (which I have no issue with, but I could see some people wanting to address that), and they are noticeably heavy. The weight could be a positive or negative depending on your preferences, but in my experience, even when jumping, I haven't noticed a negative impact in my skating due to weight... and it actually gave me that solid feel for landing jumps and locking grinds. Also, it seems the skate has a very low center of gravity, so all the weight seems to be in the frame/soul area. This is probably why the weight feels good to me. In summary, these skate great, look great, fit great, grind great, are a great match for the Oysi Medium frame, sizing is spot on, and the build quality is excellent so far. The weight could be a negative for some, but I think that most people will adjust to it easily, or love the extra weight like I do. Highly recommended!

Grate skatesFirst of all: I was skeptical about buying from this website, but I did anyway and it worked perfectly. Great skates, the purchase through this website was easy and correct. No problems whatsoever, the skates arrived fast and, I purchased another one that was returned, and they refunded without any problem. I highly recommend this site for buying inline skates, and highly recommend this skate as well.
