The Roller Derby Elite Axis 45 Magnesium Plate is precisely manufactured to promote quickness and agility like no other plate marketed for derby. That's because the Axis 45 features a true 45-degree kingpin, which allows this insanely responsive plate to turn on a dime. The icing on this high-performance cake is the sleek onyx finish over the magnesium baseplate and aluminum trucks, with brass pivot cups and a toe stop set screw moved to the very front of the plate providing some nice luxuries.

PerfectExcellent communication, great sale, blistering fast shipping. I will definitely be getting another set of plates, maybe some boots too.
Very agile but high maintenanceThis is the second set I've bought. I skate them almost every day. I skate them on trails, at parks, on ramps, rink and derby. They are very fun and agile.
There is a lot of maintenance though. The brass pivot cups will wear out and need to be replaced. The hardware and trucks should be rotated to prevent uneven wear. The aluminum nuts are a little out of spec so you may need an adjustable wrench to replace the tool that comes with the plates. The micro-adjustment feature does nothing.
They are definitely fun but expect to use your skate tool kit often to keep them tuned up.
Insane price!These are high-quality plates and I simply cannot believe the price. Magnesium? In this economy? Love it!
Great plate, terrible toolSo I have loved the plates so far but I went to adjust them and the tool that comes with it snapped off in the the set screw. DO NOT USE THE TOOL! If you get these plates go ahead and get an Allen key that works for it.
