Overview
The Razors SHIMA3 Remastered Skates are back with some modern updates to the Brian Shima classic. They have the classic white and grey colorway with the same great shape and feel as before, with a Cult Shell, Soul, and Backslide Plate.
Updates include Ground Control Featherlite 4 FLT4 Frames with an all-flat 60mm setup using Ground Control CM Turbine 90A Wheels. Enjoy nice and wide soul plates to grind in the comfort of improved Reign Liners (laces and classic logos) over arch-supporting footbeds. The boots have a Shima Softop which is the skin around the pinstriped laces.

| Proper fit has the toes not being cramped against the front. Toes may slightly brush the front as heels will settle back when in the skating position. Ground Control FLT 4I can begin to imagine explain how HORRIBLE the FLY 4 frames are that come on these skates. I purchased my Shima 3 off of ebay and they came brand new in box. Everything was new and looked perfect, i then changed out the wheels for some new 60mm round profile wheels. I went to the skate park the next day after work and immediately found that the skates were skating VERY AGILE. I then like to warmup on bowl so i dropped in and was skating some bowl pumping around and i thought wow these skates just cut very quick almost over inputting my turns and feel like they lean very far forward, i then went to simply went to go skate up the bowl and just 180 on the way down so i went to skate up the bowl and spun into a 180, the second i landed my right for cut left for some reason, TOOK OUT my left foot and i jus went straight into the concrete face first, Luckily no knocked out teeth but i then noticed i was bleeding and went to my car to get some bandages and found out i actually split my chin open i then drove myself to the ER and got multiple stitches and also sprained my right wrist an my right knee is swollen. The next day i went to inspect my skates wondering why they would ever do that. I came to the crazy conclusion and saw that FOR SOME REASON my wheels 2,3,and4 would sit flat on the floor an wheel 1 on the front of the frame was fully and easily capable of free spinning, i then looked at my left skate and saw the same exact thing wheels 2,3and4 would be flat on the ground an wheel 1 was easily able to free spin, i then inspected my wheels and saw they were all NEW 60mm wheel. I then took the frames off the skate and took out the 2 middle wheels and saw that the frames would sit flat, i then installed wheel 3 and BOOM wheel 3,4 would be flat and wheel 1 would be off the ground. Did the same thing to my left skates and found out THEY DID THE SAME THING. I NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE SEEN FRAMES DO THAT BEFORE. I inspected all of the axles and bearings and found out that they were all in good shape. Installed my FR oysi frames on the shima 3’s and they didn’t rocker like that and i installed the FLT3 frames on my old usd58 and low and behold they rockered, even threw some new 58mm wheels on to confirm it and BOOM same thing they rockered. I can’t explain the disappointment and anger i have in me from these garbage frames, i did my research and found out that a lot of people don’t like and have had multiple issues with their flt4 frames and some didn’t have any at all. These frames must have a very bad quality control check from all the mixed reviews online. I can’t have people steer clear from the frames enough. It took me a trip to the ER, multiple stitches, ruined my hoodie from blood, a swollen knee, and a sprained right wrist to write this review, others may have just had a bad experience but i had to drive myself to the ER, an i’m not the person to complain much and if i don’t like it i throw it out or give it the benefit of the doubt but never have i had a new product result in something like this. I have changed them out of my FR oysi frames and am running a flat 58mm setup. In about a month or so i hopeful. I should be able to start skating and will try that out and at least see how the boots are.
Shima 3I had the all white Shimas when I was younger. When I seen these online I thought the perfect opportunity to get back into skating. I added some anti-rockers and abec9 bearings and have been shredding for a few weeks.
AwesomeI’m used to skating Remz softboot so it’s taken a little time to adjust but I’m super happy with 'em. The smooth ride frames lock on great, no wheel bite supper happy with 'em.
