The Powerslide Phuzion RFC 90 Skates are the first to revive eco-friendly skates from Powerslide. RFC stands for "Roll For Change" and a skate that focuses on being as eco-friendly as it can be, without sacrificing the quality of the skate is a good change to have!

The construction of the boot includes eco glass-fiber reinforced plastic, 30% recycled materials, and 15% wheat. The fixed liners are made with recycled foam padding and bamboo and the uppers are made with canvas, hemp, and cotton. The laces are made of cotton, and the eyelets and hinge rivets are uncoated. The toe cap is made consciously without glue or mesh, yet reformed, to reduce waste.

There is no use of PVC or chemical ink in any part of the skate, even the wheels are unmarked. The skates use a 4x90 setup with a long wheelbase which adds stability and makes trails a breeze. Frames are made with 40% raw recycled aluminum which is lightweight and durable. Also, since we're on the topic... Skating as a form of transportation is really good for the planet!

KEY TECHNOLOGIES
Trinity X Mounting
The combination of the 'along' mounting block of the boot with the 'across' mounting slot of the frame. This allows for frame adjustment both laterally (7mm) and front to back (8mm) to individual preference and/or to correct ankles from wanting to roll (pronation/supination). Trinity frames mount at three points with two off-set winged mounts under the ball of the foot that creates a channel for the wheels to lower the skate, adding stability and power at push-off.
HABS Height Adjustable Brake System
An easy and secure brake that allows for the brake pad to adjust up and down to prolong the life of the rubber. A rear axle that is threaded at both ends allows for the installation and removal of the brake with four outer screws that eliminate having to remove the axle or wheel.

Great for 5 minutesI just received these and made sure they fit. I took them out for the first time and fell. The top buckle broke. I messaged customer service and was told it's common for damage after falls. My fall was anticlimactic. 5'4, 130 lbs at 1mph shouldn't create enough force to break a skate in 5 minutes. Customer service says I can't return and that this kind of damage is typical for falls. So, if you're thinking of these skates, consider: You cannot fall! If they're damaged within 5 minutes of putting them on for the first time, you have just wasted your $ bc you can't return. For first time skaters, ouch. These killed my feet, but I doubt it's specific to the skate. They're hot! I live in Texas. It's February and I can tell there's no way I can where these most of the year. If you're looking for an easy on/off commuter, inlines are not it. Despite the reviews, I wouldn't mind trying doops, but i won't buy from here again and I can't justify cost on top of a $180 loss.

Super comfy and funLiterally the best skates I have ever worn in my life and they led me to meeting amazing people and filming some of my best skating videos.

Nice skate to rideI like RFC Raw 90 skate, although I have not always maintained speed perfectly.

Good boot, cheap partsBoot is good, super comfortable. Parts are cheap. Thank goodness for IW and solid customer service. Returning to go to RB. PS is an amazing brand but more towards the higher end. The current skate has cheap axles/spacers. Unless you want to spend $300-$400, go to RB or K2. These skates are decent but there’s a lot better out there

Soft Boot Awesome support for a soft boot skate and they are light. I have been crusing around my city with no foot rolling like some soft boots. Powerslide is top-notch, no complaints.

Tight but comfortable and sustainableIt's been years since I've warn skates. Although I followed the sizing instructions to the letter, when I first put these skates on to try around the house I thought I'd have to return them because they were too tight. Instead, I trusted the sizing charts and went for a long skate outside and loved every moment. After several sessions I can confidently say I'm thrilled with my purchase. The adjustable brake will greatly extend the life of the rubber. The best part about these skates is the fact that they're so much more eco-friendly than any other options.

Skates are greatSkates are comfortable but for me, there was some getting used to the amount of support from a soft skate. It's worth it though with how light the skates are. The wheels are wearing a bit faster than I would have expected though. However, they are super easy to rotate. Would like to leave a 4.5 in stars, but that's not an option. These are not perfect skates, but I really do enjoy them and I am happy that I got them!
