Overview

The Powerslide Next Pro 80 Skates have all the components you need to be just a bit more agile than the other Next 80 Skates with an all-new liner and higher-end parts being used. The MYFIT Reaction liner is made specifically for the Next boots with a low-profile structure that accommodates well to wider feet or for people that would like a little bit more wiggle room. They feature a 3D adapt tongue that is responsive, bouncy, and ventilated with laces that go all the way up to the top. Holding it all together in their supportive hard boot, an adjustable cuff with a ratchet buckle, and a 45° ratchet buckle.

The boot is very customizable, you can cut the wings on the front top mounting if you'd like and the wing on the shell if you'd like a bit more flex. Underneath the Ego SL Frames use Trinity mounting which makes you very stable overall. Putting your center of gravity very low to the ground with a 3-point mounting increasing stability and helping you carve through the streets. The frames are lightweight, made of aircraft aluminum with many cutouts and a single axle system. They come decked with 4x80mm Spinner 88A wheels that spin freely on ABEC 9 Wicked bearings.

KEY TECHNOLOGIES
Trinity X Mounting
The combination of the 'along' mounting block of the boot with the 'across' mounting slot of the frame. This allows for frame adjustment both laterally (7mm) and front to back (8mm) to individual preference and/or to correct ankles from wanting to roll (pronation/supination). Trinity frames mount at three points with two off-set winged mounts under the ball of the foot that creates a channel for the wheels to lower the skate, adding stability and power at push-off.

Sizing Chart

GENERAL SKATE SIZING GUIDELINES
Measure both feet with socks similar to those in which you intend to skate. Then use the measurement of the longest point and reference the model-specific size chart to determine size. How to Measure Your Feet for Skates.
Proper fit has the toes not being cramped against the front. Toes may slightly brush the front as heels will settle back when in the skating position. Try on skates indoors while in a seated position. Lace and buckle both skates, tap your heels to the floor, and then stand and bend your knees to simulate the skating position. How to Try on Inline Skates for Fit.
Unisex model displayed in Men's sizing. Use foot measurement to determine size (add .5cm for room at toe).

Great skatesEverything on this skate is great, from the high-quality frame to the wheels and so on. The only drawback is the shock absorbers, which I switched to gel. These are the skates!

Amazing FeelI recently upgraded to these new skates from my old Macroblade 80s and let me tell you, the difference between the two is great. First off, the Next Pros are a hard boot which provides more support and control over the Macroblades. The liner is of superior quality and the combination of the frame and wheels give a feeling as if you are skating on clouds. Overall, this skate is the perfect choice for you if you have the money to buy it.

Most comfortable skates I have ever ownedI had heard that FR1's are supposed to be the most comfortable skates. Wrong. It's these. Not only are the fixtures and straps clearly about 20% higher quality, but the laces go farther up, the tongue is better, the ankle support actually pivots, the bearings are higher quality, AND the liner is heat treatable. Oh also the Trinity three point mount seems more stable. I will say my FR1's have better laces probably? They're both great skates, but these are definitely superior in terms of comfort and control. I still use both skates. (Although I should mention the FR1's have 125mm wheels so that might explain the greater control, at least some of it.)

Awesome skates - highly recommendTo begin with, I've been skating Seba HL 10 LE for the last 5 years (urban + a bit of slalom), so I got used to hard boot. When the time came to upgrade, I tried Rollerblade Twister XT and FR Skates FR1 80 (2022 model). Twister XT was really good quality, but too wide and too soft, and unfortunately thin laces are a joke. I was about to keep them, but due to their softness the power wasn't transitioned well, so decided to try the former Seba that I used to have and ordered FR1. I don't know if my mistake was ordering 0.5 size larger, but I was disappointed with the quality of FR1 for the money, given its top-shelf model, compared to my old Seba HL 10 LE. They just don't roll (idk if the problem was with bearings, but it was really strange to me that TwinCam MW9 Skate Bearings are worse than my really old and well-maintained SEBA ILQ 9 Bearings) and the boot is really wide. I have a regular width foot, so I my last try was this Powerslide model. I was a bit suspicious about ordering them with no reviews (including overall internet research) and was reeeally surprised afterward. I was riding Powerslide Next Pro 80 for 2 month prior to giving the feedback, and they are one of the best skates I've tried overall! Please, note, that the boot is the hardest across all models (but I was specifically looking for it), which gives and awesome power transition. Build quality is gorgeous, overall is the best of all 3 models mentioned above. I had to give it 4-5 rides to adjust to my foot, worst case - the boot is heat moldable (didn't mold it though). The only thing to mention - I might have got not the best batch or bearings, but default Wicked ABEC9 are not the best bearings. They started knocking a bit during the rides and in general, there is too large gap between the balls and rings of the bearing, which is surprising for a precise ABEC9. However it is a minor issue for me, as I consider bearings as disposables, and have extra sets of bearings to replace. The wheels are ok, make sure to tighten the frame and all the wheel bolts. Please note, this model does not have a standard hex key, but a torx socket - the tool is included though. Overall - I am VERY happy with my purchase, really recommend this model if you have thin/normal foot and prefer steady and hard boot for urban (+jumps, slides and a bit of slalom).
