Overview
Powerslide Arise RD Inline Skates. The RD focuses on road skating, having slightly longer frames than the SL. Still at just 10.6", trinity mount magnesium frames are light and agile to provide the perfect mix to cross-train, speed skate, or maneuver like an urban skate. The fit and performance best cater to more advanced skaters.
Arise boots are high-end, mid-cut carbon with removable cuffs. Together with built-in microfiber and mesh liner (no innersole), it has a stiff, firm wrap to be super responsive. Trinity mount frames (Elite Magnesium) work to lower the skate height and improve stability (adjustable and removable). The winged mount under the ball of the foot further stabilizes to help with power during push-off. Arise boots are compatible with any trinity mount frame from Powerslide. Ultra-High Rebound (UHR) UnderCover 110mm 85A Wheels and Wicked ABEC9 Bearings. Brake not included (compatible with Syncro Brake only).

KEY TECHNOLOGIES | |
---|---|
Trinity X Mounting The combination of the 'along' mounting block of the boot with the 'across' mounting slot of the frame. This allows for frame adjustment both laterally (7mm) and front to back (8mm) to individual preference and/or to correct ankles from wanting to roll (pronation/supination). Trinity frames mount at three points with two off-set winged mounts under the ball of the foot that creates a channel for the wheels to lower the skate, adding stability and power at push-off. |

Sizing Chart
GENERAL SKATE SIZING GUIDELINES | |
---|---|
Measure both feet with socks similar to those in which you intend to skate. Then use the measurement of the longest point and reference the model-specific size chart to determine size. How to Measure Your Feet for Skates. | |
Proper fit has the toes not being cramped against the front. Toes may slightly brush the front as heels will settle back when in the skating position. Try on skates indoors while in a seated position. Lace and buckle both skates, tap your heels to the floor, and then stand and bend your knees to simulate the skating position. Previous Feedback
Comments: Started skating again after a 10 yr break, my old true low cuff speedskates (4x110, 325 frame) were just too much skate and too much pain. Picked these up, shocked at how much more maneuverable they are, uphills are so much easier although high speed downhill wasn't as stable but was fine for as fast as I want to go. The skates are lighter than I expected. I saw another review where they said the heel was tight and it is, but once I got it on it was just right for me. Overall I'm pretty pleased and doubt I'll ever use the old skates again. These are perfect for the 5-10 mile lunchtime skate along the multiuse trail along the river.
