Ideal Playing Surface Sport Court, Hockey Tiles, Wood, Smooth Concrete
Product Note DEK tile or similar non-hockey perforated tiles provide less wheel contact surface area. As a result, using wheels on these surfaces has less grip and will wear down quicker.

Sizing Chart

HOCKEY WHEEL HARDNESS GUIDELINES
Roller hockey wheel hardness or durometer should be decided on factors like a player's weight, skill level and playing surface. The higher the durometer rating, the harder the wheel. For example, an 82A wheel is perfect for rough outdoor surfaces while a 76A wheel excels indoors. More advanced players can also benefit from harder wheels since they can utilize the extra rebound and speed.

Favorite wheel for the priceThese have been a great wheel! I'm not a great skater so the slightly softer durometer is perfect for me. I skate twice a week on smooth concrete at my sons' practices and these wheels typically last me 4-6 months.

Thanks IW!I am 6'1", 300+ lbs. I play 3-4 games a week between a wood surface that is sticky and a sport court tile surface. IW recommended these wheels to me specifically some time ago, and I am glad they did! they last a fair amount of time, I have great grip, great control, great speed, zero complaints! I tried 76a white grippers that developed giant cracks down the center of all wheels in less than 2 months, and the HI-LO 74a that I rotated about once a month before they wore out, and had poor speed. if you are a bigger skater, these are the wheels to use!

Fastest 80mmI have used Shooters for a few years. I made the mistake of getting 'race' wheels. The shooters where 20% faster over 10 miles (using same bearings). Fastest 80mm I have found.

Comments: I'm an avid street skater who seeks out rough, uneven terrain. I skate pretty hard (as per my modest but increasing ability) and rely on drags and hockey stops for most of my braking and stopping. I skate in all weather, including rain and snow. The Shooters are fast, grippy (even in rain!) and wear slowly. I don't know what other properties I would want in a wheel. They feel lively underfoot, unlike several other kinds I've had. I've used 80mm wheels from Flying Eagle, Gyro, Rollerblade, and Seba, and I'd choose the Shooters even if they were the same price as those (they are MUCH cheaper). The only wheels I've had that were as good as these were a set of Labeda Asphalt Grippers 85A. The Shooters are, quite frankly, a mystery. Why are the best wheels out there also the cheapest? I hope they never stop making them.
