HOCKEY WHEEL HARDNESS GUIDELINES
Roller hockey wheel hardness or durometer should be decided on factors like a player's weight, skill level and playing surface. The higher the durometer rating, the harder the wheel. For example, an 82A wheel is perfect for rough outdoor surfaces while a 76A wheel excels indoors. More advanced players can also benefit from harder wheels since they can utilize the extra rebound and speed.

Perfect for sport courtMy 9 year old really likes these on sport court. Lots of grip and he digs the planes on the wheels. I'd buy again.

Better for lighter skatersthese wheels may be suitable for kids under 100#, but definitely not adults weighing 185, as they claim. I've played about 6 games on these wheels and they shed more material than any wheel I've ever used. stuff comes off in strips. I'm 190 playing on sport court tile and have pretty much eaten these things up in 6 games to the point where i need new wheels again. if you light and don't skate hard, they'll suffice, I suppose, but if you're anywhere near a full-grown adult save your money and look elsewhere

Body weight and floor surface is keyFor those of you who are looking for a wheel with a slightly harder feel, these are NOT for you. I have been using Konixx wheels for years and all throughout playing in college. However, the new facility near where I live has wood floors, and with these wheels its like skating in glue. For heavier players on sport court, these are definitely going to be a solid wheel. For lighter guys playing on wood (5'9 170lbs) these are simply too soft, despite their harder 78A rating.
