The K2 Trio LT 100 Men's Inline Skates are lightweight in K2's original Softboots even with thicker material being used in the production of the boots with stability plus cuffs that laterally support your ankles. They are stiff enough to produce better energy transfer as well as better durability than lighter soft boots. Speed lacing comes in handy when you want to get into your skates quickly and out of them just as quickly. To ensure an even wrap all you need to do is pull the lacing upward and store the extra lacing in the pouch provided, then release the lacing with the push of a tab.

The aluminum frames below are responsive and low maintenance as they are not removable or adjustable. Holding large 3x100 wheels, they are excellent for cross-training with plenty of ventilation to make them very enjoyable. Combined with smooth-rolling 100mm 83A wheels (TwinCam ILQ7 Bearings), they work great for both cruising and fitness skating.

Great skate for the priceThis is my second pair of K2 Trio LT 100's. My first pair of K2's were a 2006 pair of quad 85mm wheel trainers that I loved and skated the hell out of for 15+ years. The Trio 100's were a smoother ride, lighter weight, with higher top end speed. The only negative was a manufacturing flaw that resulted in the mechanical rachet strap slipping when pulled tight. The teeth on the strap were too shallow. I modified the strap to make it hold. Despite that issue I decided to take a chance on a second pair of Trio LT 100's, hoping the manufacturing glitch had been addressed in the intervening 5 years. And it was! No clamp slippage at all. A great skate for a recreational and training skater.
