K2 Redline 110 Skates were modeled after the legendary shape and fit of the Madshus Redline Ski Boot to offer support, strength, and a great deal of comfort. Range of motion is increased by removing the cuff to look and perform like a more traditional speed boot.

Redline boots are lightweight and feature a new anatomical and supportive chassis. The cuff and base are made of strong, rigid carbon to help capture and transfer energy.  Both were modeled after the legendary shape and fit of the Madshus Redline Ski Boot, with the result offering support, strength, and a great deal of comfort with well-ventilated microfiber uppers with pre-molded ankle support. The range of motion is increased by removing the cuff to look and skate like a speed boot.  With the cuff, four velcro closures + laces keep work to keep you locked in.  Originally released in 2021-2022 and then carried over for several years from there by K2.  There is no brake included or known to be compatible with this skate.

Sizing Chart

GENERAL SKATE SIZING GUIDELINES
Measure both feet with socks similar to those in which you intend to skate. Then use the measurement of the longest point and reference the model-specific size chart to determine size. How to Measure Your Feet for Skates.
Proper fit has the toes not being cramped against the front. Toes may slightly brush the front as heels will settle back when in the skating position. Try on skates indoors while in a seated position. Lace and buckle both skates, tap your heels to the floor, and then stand and bend your knees to simulate the skating position. How to Try on Inline Skates for Fit.
K2 Guidelines: Ordering US shoe size works for most.
Add .5cm for a relaxed fit and 1.0cm if having wide feet.

The best advanced fitness and marathon skateI have owned nearly every marathon skate on the market and the K2 Redline are easily my favorite. They are the most comfortable skate I've ever used and allow for correct body positioning because of the flexible pivoting cuff. I consider this the best skate for marathon skating and learning to speed skate. The K2 design is essentially a speed skate with additional lateral support without interfering with knee pend and correct body position. It's truly a one-of-a-kind skate, and one that I feel is underappreciated online. The boot is flexible and lacks some lateral support in the toe and midfoot area of the boot when compared to a speed skate, however the heal and cuff make up for this. The boot is not heat-moldable but the flexible boot allows for a comfortable and tight fit. These boots do not have the energy transfer of a true speed skate, but it's close. The K2 Redline does perform excellently for it's target audience - the advanced fitness skater and intermediate marathon skater (or aging advanced marathon skater who lacks adequate ankle strength). The best quality of this skate - aside from it's futurist look - is that I can skate for over 2 hours and never do I feel any fatigue or ache in my lower back. The K2 Redline allows for correct ankle bend - which creates correct knee, hip, pelvis and back bend. My other marathon skates have higher cuffs. Even when I loosen my top laces and press my shin into the tongue of these other skates, I will experience lower back discomfort. My K2 Redline will tire out my quads (just like a speed skate) while my other skates will tire out my lower back. If you are looking for an advanced fitness skate or marathon skate and need more support than a speed skate, these K2 Redline are easily the best choice. My hope is that K2 will release a Redline Pro - which is a nearly identical design with a heat moldable foot with more carbon fiber in the toe and side foot areas, and straps that have buckles to allow for better tension. Stick with the same fabric straps just adjust the design for better tension. Everything else is perfect. I have owned the Bont Semi Race 3, Powerslide Arise RD 110, Powerslide R6, Rollerblade Maxxum 3WD 125, Seba Marathon, Bont Jet, Rollerblade Tempest, Rollerblade Racemachine LE, and a few others.
