Big enoughIt fits a pair of size 45 Next boots on 3×125 318mm frames with brakes on both skates. The IW skate bag can fit a pair of 125mm/255mm or 110mm/270mm (both also with brakes on both skates) but could only accommodate one skate of this 318-with-brake setup. Note that to get any of these pairs of skates to fit in either the IW or K2 bag requires buckling the cuffs; otherwise, the boots are too wide at the ankle for the bag to zip closed. It has a bunch of extra space for protective gear, both behind the boots and on the toes of the boots. No problem holding gloves, elbow pads, and knee pads along with skates, even these big skates. My (bicycle style) helmet won't squeeze in but maybe could with smaller skates. This K2 bag has a soft floor with no feet. The IW bag has a rigid floor with feet to keep things a bit elevated from the ground, cleaner and drier. The IW bag has a couple of zipper pockets that are mesh, which is breathable for socks, gloves etc. to air out. This K2 bag also has a couple zipper pockets--a smaller one on the end and larger side pocket like the IW bag--but with no mesh. Both bags have mesh ventilation for the main skate compartment. A downside of mesh pockets is they easily rip. On the IW bag, brakes poke right into mesh, which seems a recipe for an early demise (especially with long frames that are a bit of a squeeze to fit). The K2 design looks less breathable but more durable, with the mesh only up high away from the skates' pokey parts.
