Overview
The K2 Alexis ALU Inline Skates for Women outperforms other Alexis 80 models with ALUminum frames (not removable - not adjustable) that transfer more energy to the wheels. They are still good for entry-level and casual skating, but the aluminum frame can really boost things when starting to head out on longer skate sessions.
The 80mm 80A wheels (ABEC5 Bearings) are soft enough for indoor rink skating and able to smooth out the bumps outdoors. If skating strictly outdoors, replacing with harder (82A or higher) wheels at some point will improve speed and durability. K2 SoftBoot (integrated liners - not removable) is well-ventilated and comfortable without the need for breaking in.

Sizing Chart
GENERAL SKATE SIZING GUIDELINES | |
---|---|
Measure both feet with socks similar to those in which you intend to skate. Then use the measurement of the longest point and reference the model-specific size chart to determine size. How to Measure Your Feet for Skates. | |
Proper fit has the toes not being cramped against the front. Toes may slightly brush the front as heels will settle back when in the skating position. Try on skates indoors while in a seated position. Lace and buckle both skates, tap your heels to the floor, and then stand and bend your knees to simulate the skating position. How to Try on Inline Skates for Fit. | |
K2 Guidelines: Ordering US shoe size works for most. Add .5cm for a relaxed fit and 1.0cm if having wide feet. |

Customer Reviews
Great starter skatesMy wife loves them!
Better fit than Powerslide wi easy on and offI tried K2 Alexis ALUs, Rollerblade Zetrablades, PowerSlide Fuzion Argon, Fuzion Enzo, and PowerSlide Swell, all in relatively similar sizes. I have a moderately wide foot and a tall arch.
The K2 Alexis is the closest to fitting my foot, with a comfortable boot. They are also, by far, the fastest and easiest to put on and off. I find that one foot turns out over the frame, so I wish the frame could be adjusted. Also, my heel slips at times inside the boot while I am gripping for extra traction. The boot also doesn't feel very breathable. One of the wheels creaks/pop when I put weight into biting with my left foot. It's not a perfect skate, but it's the most comfortable and quick to get ready while keeping up with four youngsters. Supposedly I can mold the K2 a bit. That might help with the slightly loose heel.
The PS Fuzion Argon and Enzo were too short and narrow. The Swell was too long and had a big toe box, but it was still rubbing uncomfortably on the side of one foot. I would have needed to size up for an Argon, and size down for a Swell, even though I tried them in the same women's size. I also could feel the plastic shell on the side of my foot in both, so I'm not sure if they ever would be fully comfortable.
The Rollerblade Zetrablade dug into the back of my calf painfully, even with it unlaced and not strapped. It's way too much stiff boot for me.
The boot on the K2 Alexis is so much more comfortable than the others that I'll probably try K2 Trios eventually. I just wish they had Trinity frames with a lower center of gravity.
