They're fine... for the priceIf you're really on a budget, these will do fine.
One question for Helo though: why are you punishing us with that packaging? Are you mad at us for some reason? What did we do to deserve THAT?
Fast and quietThese are some good bearings to be honest. Fast and quiet. These came in Alkali Revel 2 skates and they are fast. 9/10. For me personally, I like loud bearings so that made the bearings a minus 1 for me. But besides that, these are a great set or SWISS.
Bones Reds are fasterPicked up a pair of Revel 2 skates for my son as a previous reviewer did and noticed these bearings were preinstalled. We have the exact same wheels on my kid's Revel 3's but with Bones Reds bearings. The difference in performance is not only noticeable, but it's also astonishing. Lucky to get a 10-second spin out of the Helo's whereas the Bones Reds (yes the basic China ones) spin for about 3 times as long. The Helo's are definitely quieter but you would think that for a $400 pair of skates, you would be able to have a much better out-of-the-box experience. I will try to lubricate the bearings, which I'm sorry, is a giant pain, and see if that makes any appreciable difference. If it doesn't I'm swapping these out for a fresh set of Reds.
