Overview
Built for physical players who want dependable coverage at an approachable price, the CCM Tacks XR 80 Shoulder Pads feature a high-profile fit designed to protect the upper body during board battles, net-front play, and everyday contact. A dual-layer front construction allows the floating sternum guard to stay properly positioned while moving naturally with the body, combining strong coverage with the mobility needed on the ice. Compression-molded foams throughout the torso keep the design lightweight while providing reliable impact protection, and the segmented construction helps the pads wrap comfortably around the body.
Floating clavicle guards, low-profile shoulder caps, and adjustable bicep guards provide additional protection without restricting arm movement. The removable EVA foam belly pad adds lightweight coverage near the waist and can be adjusted or removed to fine-tune the fit with hockey pants. On the back, thick compression-molded foams and plastic spine guard protect against contact from behind, while the moisture-wicking liner delivers comfortable performance right out of the box.

Sizing Chart
| GENERAL SHOULDER PAD SIZING GUIDELINES | |
|---|---|
| Measure the circumference of your chest roughly 1" below the armpit using a soft measuring tape, string, or shoelace. Correspond this measurement to the sizing chart and cross-reference your height. Personal preference may come into consideration in case there is an overlap between two shoulder pad sizes. For more coverage, go with the larger size. Choose the smaller size for a lower-profile fit and better responsiveness. |
